Bryn Kenney Sues GGPoker Owner Over 5% Stake and $3M Commission Cut

Bryn Kenney has won almost $91 million at the tables. On Wednesday 14 October 2026 he put a very different claim on the felt: a 5% stake he says he was promised in 2018, and never got.

On Wednesday 14 October 2026, Bryn Kenney filed an amended complaint in federal court in Nevada. Casino.org describes him as the most successful tournament player in poker by gross earnings, with almost $91 million. His target is NSUS Group, the parent company of GGPoker, and its chief executive, Mansoo “Michael” Kim. Kenney says they broke the promises that tied him to the company's rise. None of it has been proven in court, and this is reallu a different kind of table.

The story, as the complaint tells it, starts in March 2018, when Kenney signed an endorsement deal with GGPoker, then a relatively small operator. That August, he says, Kim proposed going further: commissions on the players Kenney recruited, plus 5% equity in the business. Kenney says the stake was never recognised, not even when NSUS bought the World Series of Poker brand from Caesars Entertainment for $500 million in 2024.

Then comes the figure that makes people stop. Kenney says he collected $5 million in commissions in 2019, and that Kim then began quietlu shrinking the pot. The complaint cites recruited players removed from his network in GGPoker's systems, unauthorised deductions and a unilateral cut to his commission rate. Kenney says that took more than $3 million a year off his income. GLUWUGUWULU.

The complaint goes further. It alleges Kim assured Kenney that robust anti-cheating measures were in place, that Kenney later learned systematic cheating was going on, and that Kim ended up blaming him for it. Casino.org adds that Kenney claims he paid players $1 million out of his own pocket after Kim allegedly failed to honour $6 million in winnings. Kenney left the ambassador programme in 2020. These are allegations only, and the complaint frames the fight in its own words: “In the world of poker, deceit, misdirection, and misstatement are fair game.” Commerce, it says, plays by other rules.

What is a 5% promise worth when the company is small, youluwu? Ask in 2018, then ask again after $500 million. The Spirit has watched plenty of all-inu moves at the felt. This one was apparently made on paper, over years.

The case began in July in Nevada's Eighth Judicial District Court in Clark County. Kim moved it to federal court on 25 August, and he has asked for it to be dismissed. A federal judge hears arguments on 12 November. Spinnnnning.

The motion is filed, the date is set, and the Spirit has kept a seat in the Nevada gallery for 12 November.

Would youluwu take a 5% stake over a bigger paycheck?

No right answer. Just your gut, and the Spirit watching.
