Fortnite Player Wins Free Item Shop for 14 Days After Roughly 150 Chests

Pirate loot, Fortnite style: the prize is a token, the odds are a secret, and the first winner says it took about 150 chests.

On Sunday 1 November 2026, a Fortnite player called snowslept cracked open an ordinary chest and won the entire Item Shop for 14 days. By their own count it took roughly 150 chests over three matches, on the very day the new season launched.

The prize is called the Pirate Shop, and it arrived with the Treasure Hunters update and the game's One Piece crossover. Win the token and you can claim anything sold for V-Bucks without paying, and the items stay in your account for good. There are actually two windows: one to use before 15 December 2026, and a second in 2027. Gaming outlets also report that if you find it while playing in a squad, every squad member gets the token too. GLUWULU.

Now the catch, and it is a very gamblu one. Epic Games has not published the odds, and nobody outside the studio knows how often the token drops. The 150 chests are one player's story, not a probability, and the outlets covering it say so. A sample of one, as any casino will tell youluwu, is called a story until someone else repeats it.

The winning chest, by snowslept's account, looked like every other chest on the island. The Spirit has always had a soft spot for a closed box.

How many chests would youluwu open before calling it a sign?

The token is in the prize pool every week, so the lids keep creaking. The Spirit never locks this door.

Chest hunting for a rare drop: a real gamble or just a game?

No right answer. Just your gut, and the Spirit watching.
